Explain it to me...

How to be better at this game? Whenever I played, I always have like around 2-3 kill only, and most of the time having 5-10 death a game. Even my CS is only around 100 for 30 minutes game. During teamfight, I can't even do much damage to instakill any AP or AD Carry. What am I doing wrong?

u have to know the meta...

what role are u playing?.. each role has different things to do in game. if ur playing a support having 2 cs is good... if ur an ad.. 2cs is bad..

u need to either give us more information or a replay then we can help

play a lot, but take notes on each champion u use. their pro and cons, thats what i did every game. read up some guides and watch pro play each champion on livestream.

the only thing that you can do at this stage is still play a lot.
Reading guides will help, but that will only help you in theory, you need to be familiar to the control first.

Another one is picking the correct champion, like pseudo say, know your role

choose 3 champ and repetitively play with them. Play till you can own with them : )

I like to play Shen. I built trinity force on him, but why I can't deal tons of damage like annie or that snake mage thingy?

shen is not a burst hero. hes more of a bruiser.
on the other hand, annie need to spam all of her power to burst enemy's squishies.

There is specific genre(s) for each champion. What I list above is only some of them.

Mage type is the type that normally can burst.

Tank type is the type that should be soaking damage.

and so on and so forth.

lets compare shen skill dmg and annie skill dmg, notice the difference??

Then compare shen hp/armor/magic resist and Annie hp/armor/magic resist

Big difference??

What exactly is the role of an Assasin? Seems pretty similar to a Mage/Nuker to me. Sorry, if my question seems stupid but i'm new to LoL myself.

So that is exactly the same as a mage? Or is it mage do it with AP and assasins do it with AD? Is that the difference?

But, Shen is too fun to not play him every game. Why must I play any other champion when I have Shen? Shen is the best champion!!

well, no one said anything about shen is a bad champion, just don't expect you can deal tons of damage with him because you aren't suppose to

learn what are you suppose to do with shen
hint: not to damage, but rather to wall the other team for doing dmg to your team.

But my friend who like to play annie said I should built trinity force>ie>pd if I want to instagib anyone like he did. I build that, but I just seems to always die before I come close to them. I can kill creep faster though.

Thats a wrong and terrible build for shen, shen is not dps = =...All his skill is to tank dmg or heal...Taunt, shield....no matter how you should see it, it wont burst your enemy out like other champion.

It is best build warmog/sunfire those type of items.

if You want instagib with that build, Poppy, jarvan, ls is better choice lmao...but now, those item also is not really good for them.

Anyway, with that item, most champ can instagib and I can say most champ can instagib much more easier den shen do. That is super fat.....TF and IE can say is the most expensive item in LoL.

But IE and TF looks so cool and manly. And it give me alot of damage and I can crit my normal attack too. Shen wear a sword, and IE looks great to equip it with him. TF give me that glowing light whenever I use my Q. They makes my shen look so cool.

nah, manly if your shen get rape by 5 people and soak them like a boss.

Can't you see how manly Shen is with TF and IE? It's like the item is designed for Shen

Shen is an awesome champ in his own right. He has amazing potential no matter how you play him. He teleports, he shields, he taunts and he stabs (and heals whoever stabs later). All in all, it's good to see a fellow who has so much passion for one champion.

Saying that... (pause for dramatic effect)

Shen is forever awesome, which means he needs an awesome build to compliment his awesomeness!

So, let Papa Norren introduce two builds to you that will compliment his awesomeness and show his true manly potential:

Item Build:

1) The burst you to hell while not dying in the process build
- Sorcerer's Shoes
- Rylai's Scepter
- Zhonya Hourglass
- Abyssal Scepter
- Sunfire Cape
- Lichbane

Now, you might be wondering.... Wth? This build is not worth shit! Papa u troll!! Rot in hell!!

Here's the thing, Shen needs 2 things to be effective as a bursty champion; AP and Survivability.

Note that every item provides each of these two things perfectly and compliments Shen in everywhere possible. Sorc shoes proc his damaging spell (Q), his lichbane and also sunfire cape. Rylai gives ap and health to make his Q painful and his shield more effective. Zhonya gives you that bait --> invincibility move. Abyssal speaks for itself with it's AP, MR and MR reduction aura. Sunfire? Taunt, armor, health.... umad, melee enemy? lichbane is too good to pass by considering shen can almost always proc lichbane now with his buff and crazy ap scaling.

This build allows you to do two things as Shen;
I) Burst out that squishy ad carry or ap while surviving whatever crap they throw in your face.
II) Come in during team fights, disrupt everyone and save weak and inferior team mates.

All in all, this build is one of THE way to go (then again this is subjective to what style u wanna play) if you like burst Shen.

2) The tank tower, ap, ad, tank and shit build
- Mercenary Threads or Tabi (depending on what your opponent builds)
- Frozen Mallet
- Wit's End
- Atma
- Randuin's Omen
- Force of Nature

Now you might be wondering.... Tanky AD SHEN?!!?!?!?!?! PAPA MUST BE BANNED FROM LOL FOR BEING A NOOB!!

Shen has AWESOME tanking potential. Be a man! Save your team mate's from tower dives, ap burst, ad carries and whatever shit that might come your way. Stand there like a boss and say.... U MAD, PUNY ENEMY?

This build revolves around giving as much CC and disruption to your opponent while maintaining a bruiser role that deals significant damage overtime. This build allows u to get in close, stick to them ap bursties and kill em with your awesome sparkling blades!! You won't burst much with your skills, but hey, this build is for those who like to get in there, get dirty and kill some shit while tanking like a BAUWS!!

So, i hope these two builds suits thy tastebuds. Play more as shen and master him.

No point arguing with you now as in you still new ...and most player you fight agaisnt is new too.

you can't expect to burst someone with any champ. Look at sona, do u expect her to instagib someoneFarm with Shen solo top tank and just split push late game. When there's a fight just ult someone but you need good map awareness. I recommend you to play low skill cap champions since your kind of new to this game. watch games on streams or YouTube too. Lastly, when they have a jungler or not(it's your choice) make sure to WARD, Losimg 75 gold is better than giving the enemy team 300gold. Remember to last hit and don't auto attack creeps continously. You're gonna push your lane and screw yourself if they have a jungler

But i like to play solo btm Shen. Though, most of the time, there will be some teammate who come and join my lane when i already said i solo btm. Saying i so noob or something. Then after 10 minutes, they will go to the base and afk for some reason,after i died a couple of time. It's not even my fault, there will always be someone come out of nowhere when i just want to one on one that full hp graves to show how powerful Shen is. Oh yeah, they always ask me to ward to, but why would I, it would just delay my TF which I need to make Shen look cool. Really don't understand why are they mad. I mean, its 75 gold, or 3 creeps. Don't they know how hard it is to kill 3 creeps without having TF? . I mean, if im like my friend who like to use annie that can instagib creeps, i might, but I'm Shen, i need TF to kill creeps fast enough.
